Senryu Sonnet
Now I have a new norm:
Sitting at my computer,
Waiting kids log on.
Zoom out; Teams now in.
Students bellow in protest:
When will life begin?
Change dominates life,
And inequity pervades,
Cutting like a knife.
Happiness is found,
As Rowling’s Dumbledore says,
Where darkness abounds!
So, dark thoughts, resist,
For we will persist!
Haiku Sonnet

Time seems motionless,
The ozone creates a shield,
And everything heals.
Poison is airborne:
As Mother Nature laments,
People flee her scorn.
Dew coats the landscape:
Humanity remains still,
Each day yields disgrace.
Birds chirp mercy songs;
Mankind atones for all wrongs:
How long are such storms?
Now, benevolence abounds:
The bell tolls; a death knell sounds
