The sessions started quite casually,
Night shirts and pajamas were what I flexed;
Graduated to more formality,
Cardigans and spring dresses were worn next;
Then came salute to BU Terriers,
But school spirit shattered in one fell stroke:
To shield from Covid-19 carriers,
Spring break—Passover, Easter—they revoke.
Had to move my office to the outdoors,
Inside, the walls were quickly closing in;
Inside, a wild lion on the prowl roars,
Threatening to tear me apart to win.
I quelled the beast with enthusiasm
To surmount the black hole in this chasm.
