The school year is coming to an end, so I now have more leisure to sew, but my bandwidth… I had hoped to sew two or three projects a day but managed only one so far on the first day of this long weekend. The Fourth of July Market during the Cape Verde Independence Day Celebration in Boston is only two weeks away, and I have left one week of school and one week to complete my planned projects.
Sewing is my passion, and I do not wish for it to become a chore, so if I sew slowly and preserve my joy, I’m all the more happy. I only have one sling completed, but evening is nigh, I’ll be doing laundry, and I get my best sewing done when I’m doing laundry in the mornings or at night when everyone is asleep. So, I have the opportunity now to sew in optimal conditions: a laundry night.
